Navigating the Internet

One of the best and easiest ways to navigate the internet is to find an internet portal site you're comfortable with.  But "exactly what is a portal" you may ask?  Well actually, a portal is just a fancy name to define a web page, normally your Internet starting point, that has links to many other places on the net.  This startup page becomes your launch pad or gateway to many different places of interest on the world wide web.

Starship Computer Services recommends you use one of the following links to the most well know portals in order to navigate your way around the web.

Yahoo.com
AOL.com
Excite.com
Netscape.com
CNN.com
IWon.com

This can be your initial start page when you first launch your web browser.  This portal page can take you all over the World Wide Web to sites for News, Sports, Weather, Shopping, Stock Information, etc.  (Instructions on how to make our portal your startup page are below).  From this portal page, you can easily navigate the directory of web page links to take you anywhere you need to go on the web or to search for whatever you need from any of the major search engines.

For more information on how to use or find an internet Portal to navigate the Internet, contact Starship Computer Services by e-mail, or call us at 888-736-7763.   We would be more than happy to answer all your questions!!
